How we handle your data.

Hoir Audio makes Lyriquee in Norway. This page says what we collect when you buy Lyriquee, join the newsletter or send us feedback, what we do with it, and how to make us stop. It is short because there is not much.

The newsletter

The free download needs no email address. If you sign up for news under it, we store your email address, the words you agreed to, when, and the address of the page you signed up from, which can include the tag that says which video or post sent you. If you joined the waitlist before launch, we also have the DAW and system you picked and, if you answered it, what you make.

We use this to email you about Lyriquee: new looks, releases and sale dates, about twice a month. You agree to that when you sign up, and you can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email.

The list is kept at Kit (Kit.com, United States), which sends the emails on our behalf and stores the data under its data processing agreement and the EU standard contractual clauses. Kit records when an email is opened and which links are clicked. Nobody else sees the list.

We keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Unsubscribing removes you from every mailing; a deletion request removes the record itself.

Buying Lyriquee

Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, United States) sells Lyriquee for us. It collects your name, email address, country and payment details, takes the payment and sends the receipt and your licence key. We see your name, email address, country and order, never your card. Lemon Squeezy keeps the order records the tax rules require. We use your address to answer you and to deal with refunds. Buying does not put you on the newsletter.

Feedback

The feedback form sends us one email with what you wrote, the kind of message, and any of your name, email address, DAW, system and plugin version that you filled in. It also includes the page address and your browser’s name and version, which help us reproduce a bug. The site stores none of it.

The email is sent by Resend (Resend, United States) under its data processing agreement and the EU standard contractual clauses, and lands in our inbox. We use your address only to answer you. Sending feedback does not put you on any mailing list. We keep a message while we need it to deal with it, and delete it when you ask.

The website

The site sets no cookies. It counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which records the page, the page that sent you, your country and city, your browser, your device type and the time, and nothing that names you. Visits are told apart by a hash of the request that is discarded after 24 hours, so it cannot follow you between days or across other sites. We see only the totals.

The signup and feedback routes keep your connection address in memory for a few minutes to stop repeated submissions, then forget it. Our host, Vercel, keeps ordinary server logs for a short time to keep the site running.

The plugin

Your lyrics live inside your DAW project on your machine, and nothing leaves it. Lyriquee has no account. It connects to two places. Each time its window opens, it asks this site for the number of the newest version, and that request carries nothing about you or your songs. When you activate a licence key, and when the plugin re-checks it, the key goes to Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, United States), who sell Lyriquee for us. Activation also sends your computer’s name, so the key’s page can show which machines use it. Like any request on the internet, both carry your IP address.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or have a copy of it. Write to hello@hoiraudio.com from the address you signed up with and we will do it within a month, usually the same week. If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority.
